Designed & Built by a PGA professional, the course at Scotland Yards Golf Club is reminiscent of the old links golf courses of England and Scotland. All the greens at Scotland Yards are very undulated so that comment will be left out of the individual hole descriptions, "BUT BEWARE".

Par 4 - Eases you into the game with a straight away tee shot into a short fairway lined on both sides by large earth mounds. Too far right will find the waste area and left is OB. |
#2 |
Par 3 - With a green that slopes from the back to the front being on the green here is only half the battle. Check you pin placement and select the right club. You don't want to be above this hole. |

Par 5 - It can be reached in 2 by the longer hitters but beware. Keep your tee shot center or left, OB is close on the right and the winds can get your ball. Also, don't be too long the OB is only a few yards behind the green. |
#4 |
Par 4 - A blind tee shot, OB left and heather right will often result in a lost ball or chip out. The green is where the trouble starts it slopes severely to the right and back to front. You must keep your approach shot left of center. |
#5 |
Par 4 - OB left, orange trees and heather right can cause you problems if you stray. A small green guarded by two dangerous pot bunkers will require a good short iron to a green that slopes slightly away from the player. |

Par 5 - One of the easier holes on the front side. The first and second shots are into a wide open fairway guarded only by shallow waste areas. A very wild shot can reach the heather that borders both sides of the fairway. It can be reached in two but behind and on the left side of the green is a bunker that is seven or eight feet deep. |

Par 3 - A short hole but to a very small green that is guarded by two pot bunkers, slopes away from the player and requires precision putting. The blind tee shot is down hill to a green that is 60 feet lower in elevation and will play a club shorter than it measures. |

Par 4 - Short and straight but the errant tee shot will catch the large earth mounds that line both sides of the fairway and play from there is difficult. Right is out of bounds and left is waste area. A tee shot for placement, not power, is recommended. |

Par 3 - A treacherous hole if the flag is back. This peninsula green is 45 yards from front to back and has hazards on three sides. It is only 40 feet wide and the winds can destroy the weak tee shot. |

Par 4 - The tee shot here sets up the hole, right is water and left is open sandy area were bad lies are the norm. The green is small and elevated making chipping difficult. |

Par 4 - Straight away par 4 is a birdie hole for most. No trouble except a large bunker in the middle of the fairway about 30 yards short of the green. Rarely in play off the blue tee, but beware from the white or red. |

Par 5 - The signature hole, referred to lovingly as Dolly Parton for the two giant mounds and pot bunkers that guard the front of the green, is the longest hole on the course at 554 yards and is rarely reached in two. The third shot, played from 60 to 80 yards out must be hit up to the green some 12 feet above the player. |

Par 4 - Down hill with OB left and is open to the winds, the work here is the approach shot. Short to mid irons play to a small, elevated, two tier green and getting the ball close is tough. |

Par 5 - Eagle or double, both are possible. The big trouble from the tee is to the left, OB near the tee turns to hazard in the landing area. The right side of the fairway is guarded by a waste area, but play out is routine. The well-struck tee shot makes the hole reachable in two but don't be long. A tiny green with a severe slope from the back to the middle makes chipping close nearly impossible and bogie or double a real possibility. |

Par 3 - Undoubtedly the toughest par 3 on the course to par. A very narrow, elevated, hour glass shaped green makes accuracy a must. Chipping from the left or right you must be satisfied with just getting the ball on the green, too cute can mean double. |

Par 4 - Arguably the toughest par 4 on the course, fairway bunkers, 250 yards from the back tees, must be avoided or reaching the green becomes even more dangerous. The green is bordered on two sides by water that you must carry to get home. |

Par 3 - May be the easiest par 3 except from the blue tees were the 217 yard length makes it tough. |

Par 5 - A great finishing hole for the gambler it can be reached in two. Tee shots left are in the waste area and right are in the trees, but center and the big hitters can reach it. If you miss the green right you are either wet or chipping up a bank 10 feet above you to the green. Accuracy counts on the approach to a green that is 10 yards wide and 40 yards long. Be sure to check your placement sheet it can play 2 clubs longer or shorter than the yardage says. |
